Healthy Mouths Healthy Lives builds on the work of the AHMAC Steering Committee for National Planning for Oral Health, which released Oral health of Australians: National planning for oral health improvement: Final report in 2001. It also draws substantially on the excellent work documented in National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander oral health workshop:Workshop report and action plan, released in 2003 by the Commonwealth Department of Health and Ageing.
