Improved Oral Health for Older People: Special Needs Dentistry – Geriatric Dentistry Action Plan

Overview

The Geriatric Dentistry Action Plan has been developed in consultation with communities, dental and other health professionals, Dental Health Services Victoria (DHSV) and the Australian Dental Association Victorian Branch (ADAVB).

The Geriatric Dentistry Action Plan presents a comprehensive strategy, in five action areas:

  • The development of sustainable oral health programs
  • Health promotion
  • Education
  • Dental workforce
  • Research.

The Action Plan is targeted at the community, health professionals, educationalists and others committed to supporting the health and well-being of older Victorians.
