Overview

The paper seeks to support partnerships between three service sectors – specialist mental health services, particularly the primary mental health and early intervention teams; community health services and general practitioners – in the provision of mental health treatment services in primary care settings in Victoria. Greater clarity about the roles of mental health treatment services in primary care settings for children, adolescents and adults should lead to improved service quality and effectiveness.
