Overview
The Industry Advisor - ICDM project commenced in February 2008. Two Industry Advisors have been employed to work intensively with PCPs to develop strategies and approaches to further progress ICDM work across their catchments.
Two online, anonymous surveys were conducted in July 2008 and again in May 2009 as means to evaluate the effectiveness of the project and to inform future planning. A final report of the project has also been prepared.
Key findings
The key findings of the final evaluation include:
- The Industry Advisors are a highly valued resource
- Industry Advisors added value to progressing integrated chronic disease management (ICDM) at the local level
- Most highly valued was the sharing of learnings and access to ‘expert knowledge’.
