VHIMS Project Advisory Group

The role of the VHIMS Project Advisory Group is to provide expert advice and guidance to the VHIMS Project Board on the development and implementation of a standardised data set and mechanism that will allow for collation of statewide incident data.

Composition

The Project Advisory Group is the key user representative group for the project and comprises quality and risk management experts from metropolitan, rural and regional health services, as well as other subject matter experts from the field. The advisory group also comprises DHS representatives from relevant program areas. Current membership is shown below.

VHIMS Project Board

Role

The role of the VHIMS Project board is to oversee the development and implementation of a statewide incident information system for Victorian public health services in accordance with the 4 project objectives (See Project objectives).

Composition

The Project board comprises representatives from several DHS branches including the Statewide Quality Branch. The chair of the Advisory Group is also a member of the Project Board, to ensure user representation.

The chair of the Project Board is the Executive Director, Rural and Regional Health and Aged Care Services (RRHACS), DHS.

The Deputy Chair of the Project Board is the Director , Statewide Quality Branch, RRHACS, DHS.

VHIMS Consumer Feedback Working Group

Role

The role of the IIS Consumer Feedback Working Group was to provide advice on the data fields and methodology for standardised reporting of both positive and negative consumer feedback, the latter commonly called consumer feedback (including complaints, compliments and enquiries).

Composition

The chair of the working group is Ms Lois Abraham, Clinical Risk Management Coordinator, Ballarat Health Service.

The Consumer Feedback Working Group completed review of the data set specification. The group may reconvene at a later date where required. In the interim, the Chair has joined the Project Advisory Group to keep up to date on the progress of the VHIMS project.

VHIMS Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) Working Group

Role

The role of the VHIMS OH&S Working Group was to provide advice on the data fields and methodology for standardised reporting of Occupational Health and Safety incidents and hazards.

Composition

The chair of the working group is Ms Annabelle Kirwan, Human Resources Manager, Barwon Health.

The OH&S Working Group have completed their review of the combined data set specification. The group may reconvene at a later date where required. In the interim, the Chair has joined the Project Advisory Group to keep up to date on the progress of the VHIMS project.
