Improving medication safety in emergency departments
Better use of medicine in emergency department survey
Following the 'Improving medication safety in emergency departments forum' in October 2009 it was identified that prior to undertaking further work in the area the network would undertake a survey to gain information about current practices in medication management in Victorian EDs.
The survey was developed by ECIICN in collaboration with the Quality Use of Medicines, 38 Nurse unit managers from 38 EDs were requested to complete the survey either online or over the phone.
