Consultative Council on Obstetric & Paediatric Mortality & Morbidity (CCOPMM)

The Consultative Council on Obstetric and Paediatric Mortality and Morbidity (CCOPMM) was established in 1962 to provide advice to the Minister for Health on issues relating to perinatal, maternal and paediatric morbidity and mortality.

The CCOPMM has statutory responsibility for the administration of the Victorian Perinatal Data Collection and the Victorian Birth Defects Register.

The CCOPMM is supported by a secretariat located within the Clinical Councils Unit, part of the Quality, Safety & Patient Experience Branch of the Department of Health.

CCOPMM will now publish all recommendations in downloadable format following their endorsement by Council, beginning with the most recent recommendations from the CCOPMM Stillbirth sub-committee.

IMPROVE Workshops

The Consultative Council on Obstetric and Paediatric Mortality and Morbidity in conjunction with the Maternity and Newborn Clinical Network, PSANZ and ANZSA are hosting further workshops to assist health care staff with the implementation of the PSANZ perinatal mortality guidelines within their health services.
