Ministerial Taskforce for Cancer 2003 - 2007The Ministerial Taskforce for Cancer, chaired by Professor Richard Smallwood, was established to provide strategic leadership and advice on the implementation of the Victorian Government's cancer reform agenda. Key responsibilities include: advising on improving patient care; forging links with statewide and national bodies; coordination of cancer research and services; strengthening the collection of cancer data and information. Terms of ReferenceThe Ministerial Taskforce for Cancer plays an important role in working to reduce the burden of cancer for the people of Victoria through enhancing clinical practice and research. The Ministerial Taskforce for Cancer provides advice to the Minister for Health on the implementation and evaluation of the Government's directions for cancer services reform. Advice is also provided to the Minister for Health and the Minister for Innovation on matters relating to cancer research. ObjectivesServices focus
