BreastCare Victoria, together with Monash University (School
of Information Management and Systems) and The Breast Cancer
Action Group (Vic.) were involved in a project that explored
information provision online. The project, entitled 'Breast
Cancer Knowledge Online: Towards a user sensitive portal
to breast cancer knowledge online'. This project aimed to
meet the differentiated medical and societal information
and decision support needs of individual women with breast
cancer, their families, friends and carers, through the
development and prototyping of an 'intelligent interface'
capable of providing 'tailored' information.
