Summary

This document is provided to guide clinical practice for the use of fresh frozen plasma self-auditing. The algorithm is used to interpret the data collected using the BeST audit form and method available as a download.

It is intended for clinicians prescribing products and during review of clinical practice within their institution.

The tool is derived from the Clinical practice guidelines on the use of blood components, National Health and Medical Research Council and Australian and New Zealand Society of Blood Transfusion, 2001.
