In many small country towns, the local sports oval is the heart of community activity.

In Rainbow, patients of the recently opened hospital and aged care facility can stay in touch with their community events via a floor-to-ceiling window that overlooks the local oval.

The town’s population has benefited from a $ 3.7 million upgrade to the health service, which now has state-of-the-art lifting equipment and a purpose-built kitchen. The health service now also offers dialysis, physiotherapy, x-ray and dental facilities.

The Rainbow health facility is one of many exciting and important health initiatives happening in country Victoria.
