The new $100,000 midwifery program at Alpine Health allows more mums to have their baby as close to home as possible.

The program aims to train more midwives to work with local GPs in the Alpine region so that mums-to-be can attend antenatal class, have their medical checkups, deliver their babies and have ongoing access to expert advice, all in their local area.

The maternity services in the Alpine area are one of many exciting and important health initiatives happening in country Victoria.
