Governance of HARP

HARP has involved stakeholders from across the health sector working together to establish a more effective system. In particular, these stakeholders have worked together to prevent episodes of ill health for people with identified risk of hospitalisation. This has involved doing things differently. From the outset, HARP established a guiding coalition of experts, the HARP Reference Group, to inform and drive this comprehensive change process. More recently a HARP Planning Group was established.

HARP Reference Group

The HARP Reference Group was established in December 2001. The Group is chaired by Professor John Funder and brings together a range of people with relevant experience and expertise including hospital clinicians, primary health providers, general practitioners, health service administrators, consumers and carers, researchers and the metropolitan ambulance service to provide strategic direction and monitor the implementation of HARP.
