HARP Evaluation

In March 2002 the HARP Reference Group established an Evaluation sub-committee with Associate Professor Jeremy Anderson, Acting Director for the Centre for Clinical Effectiveness, Monash University as its chair.

Bearing Point (formerly KPMG) was appointed by the Department in November 2002 to undertake an independent evaluation of HARP.

The overarching aim of the HARP evaluation is to 'Identify interventions and models of care that are effective in improving clinical outcomes and reducing the preventable use of health services'.

A Hospital Admission Risk Program: Evaluation Guide May 2003 (PDF icon PDF file 1.69MB) - or - (ZIp icon Zip file 757KB) has been released to provide information on activities for the projects funded through HARP.  Projects will be supported in undertaking evaluation activities through a workshop, which will be held in June 2003.
