Client Information Management System (CIMS) home

Some time ago DHS embarked on a project to determine what a system for Primary, Community and Allied Health agencies funded by the Department should look like.

This exercise was carried out with extensive and close consultation that encompassed both practitioners and Departmental program areas across a significant range of activities. The result of this activity is the Client information Management System (CIMS) Requirements Definition, which having been signed off as accurate by the participants in this project, is now published for reference by any interested parties.

It should be noted our aim is to deliver all functionality documented, however we must recognise that what will be achievable (particularly in the first instance) may be less than 100%.

While the next steps in this process are yet to be determined any comments or queries can be forwarded to:

  • Manager, Patient and Client Management Systems: Tony Bibby
    Office of Health Information Systems
    Enquiries: Tel (61 3) 9616 2808 or
  • Manager, Information Systems and Services: Max Walker
Rural and Regional Health and Aged Care Services Division
