PAV enhances the confidence of frail, older people and people with disabilities, who are isolated and vulnerable, to live independently in their own home by providing contact 24 hours a day. Eligibility: To be eligible for PAV you must be assessed by one of the designated PAV assessment organisations. Personal Alert Victoria Information SheetThis information assists potential clients and nominated contacts by describing how PAV operates, how to access the service and the eligibility criteria. It is available in 13 languages other than English.

PAV program & service guidelinesThe PAV program and service guidelines have been developed for use by managers of PAV designated assessment agencies and their staff undertaking PAV assessments, the PAV service provider, HACC response service providers, policy makers, and Department of Health staff. PAV Assessment RecordThe following form is to be completed in accordance with the PAV Program and Services Guidelines.

The report outlines the department's response to key themes and issues, and frequently asked questions that arose during the training sessions held over July and August 2010 and will complement agency staff learning.
