What is Direct2Care?

Direct2Care is a new service from the Australian and Victorian Governments. In its initial phase of development, it is currently only available in the Eastern Metropolitan Region (EMR) of Melbourne and the Grampians Region. Statewide availability of this service is planned for the future. Further information on the development process of this initiative can be found at Access Points Demonstration Project.

Direct2Care is staffed by experienced and supportive staff that will talk to you one-to-one and help work out what’s right for you and the best way to go about getting it. They can make contact with services in your area on your behalf, who will then contact you in turn. Alternatively, Direct2Care staff can provide you with information and advice if that’s all you need.

Helping older Victorians live fuller, more independent lives

Direct2Care is designed to help older Victorians find and access the services, supports and community resources they need to live fuller, more independent lives within their community. That’s good news not just for those using the services, but for their carers, family and friends who may need extra help, advice or support.
