Well for Life: A collection of stories, 2006Page content: Introduction | Download document IntroductionWell for Life aims to increase health and wellbeing for older people with a focus on nutrition, physical activity and emotional wellbeing. This book is based on stories from Well for Life projects from 2003-2005 and has been produced as a companion book to the Well for Life Evaluation: Highlights from the evaluation - phase one projects, November 2005. These projects aimed to improve the overall quality of life of older people by focussing on improved nutrition and increased physical activity for residents of public sector residential aged care facilities and older people who attend Home and Community Care planned activity groups. Two emotional wellbeing components were subsequently added to the Well for Life program and resources program in 2009, Improving emotional wellbeing for older people at home (2010) and Improving emotional wellbeing for older people in residential aged care (2010), so while projects clearly had many emotional benefits they were not specifically targeting emotional wellbeing at this stage. To produce the book an invitation was extended to all funded projects to submit stories about Well for Life in their organisation - stories from staff and stories from participants. We received many submissions and have reproduced a selection. This book is their story. Download document
