Overview

ACFI- Opportunity for excellence

This two-day seminar convened by the Department of Human Services Aged Care Branch promotes the use of a quality approach to improve outcomes for residents and build capacity and confidence to manage changes associated with the implementation of the Aged Care Funding Instrument (ACFI).

The focus was specifically on the use of the Cornell Scale for Depression and Psychogeriatric assessment Scales-Cognitive Impairment Scale. Key experts discussed the importance of interpreting and responding to results in order to identify and consider best management principles for residents.

The seminar provided an opportunity for service and staff to focus on building and improving the skills required to undertake objective and accurate care assessments that can drive improved outcomes for residents whilst supporting the requirements for ACFI claims.

We wish to thank the speakers for providing us with the opportunity to share their presentations with you.
