Home & Community Care Cross Cultural Training Manual (1993)

Action on Disability Within Ethnic Communities was funded by the Department of Human Services to produce this manual for use in training Home and Community Care (HACC) workers. The manual contains four core modules aimed at HACC service providers, supervisors and managers:

Module 1: HACC and the Migration Experience.
Module 2: The Migration Experience.
Module 3: Verbal and Non-Verbal Communication.
Module 4: Values.

There are also two advanced modules aimed at supervisors and managers:
Module 5: Interpreting and Translation.
Module 6: Planning for a Multicultural Community.
